Following the update of the international rules (TDA 2024), Texapoker has modified its rules, which will now apply to all our tournaments. Let's take a look at the important points to remember and the Texapoker specificities.

The new TDA rules applied

The new TDA rules apply to all Texapoker tournaments, including player identification and the use of telephones and electronic devices, as well as third-party software. Players must be clearly identifiable at all times. Tournament staff may ask a player to remove any item that prevents them from being identified or that constitutes a distraction for other participants.

Telephones are tolerated when they are placed on the boudin or on the edge of the table. All other large electronic devices such as tablets or computers are prohibited. As soon as the player receives his cards, the use of electronic devices is strictly forbidden. They must be placed face down or have their screens turned off.

Texapoker prohibits the use of third party software, such as GTO solvers and strategy boards, not only for players, but also for spectators throughout the gaming area. Any breach of this rule may result in sanctions up to and including exclusion from the tournament.

Recommended procedures

Texapoker's partner casinos only allow players to place a Cover Card (smaller than a poker card) on the table. All other objects are strictly forbidden.

Texapoker recommends 3 minutes per hand at the bubble on Epic and Superior tournaments, 2 minutes on Unusual and Rare tournaments and no stop clock on Turbos (see Texapoker tournament quality chart below).

For tournaments with only one player paying the ante, the Big Blind Ante format with Big Blind priority will be applied. The amount of the bet or raise will not be announced for each action, but the type of action: call, bet, raise, fold. And in bet or raise actions, the dealer must only open the bet for legibility. Only a player whose turn it is to speak may ask for the amount of the action, even in an all-in situation.

Texapoker specificities

These are the Texapoker Tournament Quality Charter and the Texapoker Shot Clock Rules. The different types of tournaments are divided into categories ranging from Common to Mythical, including Unusual, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Each category has its own characteristics, as set out in the table below. Finally, specific rules have been published for Shot Clock.
