Rozvadov, Sanremo and Barcelona to launch the European Championship of Poker in 2025

Following the postponement of the first edition, scheduled to take place at Club Circus Paris, due to the temporary administrative closure of the gaming clubs, the European Championship of Poker will make its debut later this year with stops in Rozvadov (11 to 17 March), Sanremo (2 to 9 June) and Barcelona (10 to 16 November).

Leader in the production of poker tournaments in France and Italy, Texapoker and its founder Apo Chantzis are setting out to conquer Europe with the creation of the European Championship Of Poker. With the ECOP, Texapoker is creating a poker festival on a European scale with all the ingredients that have made the festivals produced in France and Italy so successful over the last few years.

The genesis of this new European circuit is based on Apo's conviction that Texapoker's objective is “to continue to democratize poker throughout Europe. We want to give access to a quality offer by proposing deep structures and controlled entry fees”. The founder of Texapoker adds that "poker is a sport like any other that should be accessible to everyone. That's why we've opted for a European circuit, in the hope that players will not hesitate to follow us throughout Europe.” The first edition of the European Championship of Poker will be held from 11 to 17 March at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, in partnership with EuroRounders.

The €1,000 Main Event will feature four starting days from Thursday 13 March, with a structure of 50,000 chips to build on over 40-minute levels (then 60 minutes on Day 2 and the final day). To open the day, a €200 ECOP Opener and a €350 ECOP PL Omaha will delight the players who have made the trip. Numerous satellites and side tournaments will also be on offer, as well as a €1,500 ECOP High Roller to close the event.
